Smart Technology Group Limited is an SME with expertise in software, electronics and smart materials. They have an excellent record both for technical innovation and in managing research projects. They have been involved in four major EC funded research projects and have project managed two of these projects, thus bringing significant experience in coordinating successful EC research projects. Recently, Smart has acquired personnel and IPR of ER Fluid Development Limited, thus expanding their field of expertise in smart materials. Smart operates at the forefront of technology in the fields of intelligent sensor systems and innovative adaptive systems for manufacturing processes. Currently they are bringing to the market place an innovative electrode drive system for EDM machine tools based on piezo-actuator technology developed under the Copernicus project SPA CP94 1109. Smart will be concerned with software development and drive electronics.
